About Us
Azione TerrAE, Coalition for Agroecological Transition, is made up of 7 international cooperation associations (ACRA, CISV, COSPE, DEAFAL, LVIA, Mani Tese, Terra Nuova) that have been active for decades with their own projects in West Africa and 2 Italian and European civil society networks (Rete Semi Rurali and Agroecology Europe), engaged in experimentation, promotion, training and dissemination activities on agroecology issues, involving the world of research and farmers’ organizations.
It is supported by AOI, Association of Italian NGOs, and by
FOCSIV, Federation of Christian International Voluntary Service Organizations.
ACRA is a secular and independent NGO, founded in Milan in 1968 and engaged for 54 years in international cooperation, protection of human rights and the fight against poverty and inequality.
The Association aims to place agroecology at the top of the European agenda of sustainable development of agricultural and food systems by fostering interactions among actors in science, practice and social movements.
CISV provides an opportunity for children, teens and adults to experience the fascination and richness of cultural differences. It aims to train individuals capable of becoming advocates and active members of a more equitable and peaceful society.
COSPE was founded in 1983 and is an international, secular, nonprofit cooperation association. We work in 24 countries alongside civil society and local communities as committed as we are to social justice and peace.
Deafal promotes and disseminates the study, training, experimentation and application of innovative agronomic, economic and social methodologies for the production of healthy and accessible food for all.
LVIA is an international solidarity and cooperation association that works to contribute to overcoming extreme poverty, achieving equitable and sustainable development, and dialogue between Italian and African communities.
